Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion

"Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom." (Proverbs 18:1 KJV)

Every first Sunday of the year, our church here in Michigan traditionally worship with "Heart's Desire Sunday" and prayer for every desires. I remember years ago writing down in a small piece of paper my heart's desire for my future life partner. I prayed that God would give me favor as I court a girl I really like and love- she is now my wife for 28 years.

I like the key word "desire" from this verse. Desire may just be in your heart right now; but you will never know what it will do to your future if you keep on praying and pursuing it with determination and focus. The greats in the Bible has their own personal desire. Notice what Apostle Paul says; "Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved." (Romans 10:1 KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay
