FAITHFUL SERVICE
(Psalm 31:23) “O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.”

Not to be always wanting
Some other work to do,
But cheerfully to take the task
Which Christ has set for you,
And to bear the little crosses
Of humble daily life
With that same dauntless courage
You meant for nobler strife;

Whether in pleasant pastures
His tender flocks to feed;
