SAVED, SERVING AND SURRENDERED…

MI DAILY DEVOTION 07- 06-11
SAVED, SERVING AND SURRENDERED…
(ROMANS 12:1-2) “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2- And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
We have a duty as God’s children. Our duty is to live a godly life. You may want to remember the SSS of Christianity. It’s not the saved, seat and be satisfied. It’s saved, separated from sin, lusts and worldly pleasures that displeased the Lord, and surrender your life to God.
“We may observe here, according to the scheme mentioned in the contents, the apostle’s exhortations, I. Concerning our duty to God, We see what is godliness.1. It is to surrender ourselves to God, and so to lay a good foundation. We must first give our own selves unto the Lord, 2 Co. 8:5. This is here pressed as the spring of all duty and obedience, v. 1, 2. Man consists of body and soul, Gen. 2:7; Eccl. 12:7. (1.) The body must be presented to him, v. 1. The body is for the Lord, and the Lord for the body, 1 Co. 6:13, 14.” (The Bible Collection)
(I Corinthians 6:20) “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.”
