Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 11:1 KJV
"A false balance is abomination to the Lord : but a just weight is his delight."

Abomination is not a common word. It's not common to people especially if it's all about their personal sin or sins. Abomination was first used in the Bible in the book of Genesis chapter forty verse thirty two. It's in relation to cultural practices of the Egyptian people during the time of Joseph the son of Jacob. The Bible talks about Jesus eating with the publicans. (Matthew 11:19) Apostles Paul and Peter went through the same issue. (Galatians 2:14- 15)

They hated it when they (Jews and Jesus) eat with sinners and other cultures. No wonder when God speaks of sin, He associated it to the hatred of the Egyptians and Israelites when other cultures would eat with them on the same table. According to Wikipedia.org- "An abomination in English is that which is exceptionally loathsome, [[hate]]ful, [[sin]]ful, [[evil|wicked]], or vile." By Ely Roque Sagansay
