Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 23:1 KJV
"When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee:"

"Diligently" means "constant in effort to accomplish something; attentive and persistent in doing anything:" (Dictionary.reference.com) It's an adjective. And to put it in my own words- "It's an active word which demands effort and excellence for a greater purpose." King Solomon wrote; Ecclesiastes 9:10 KJV "Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. Apostle Paul may have seen it best when diligence is exercise for God. (Colossians 3:23 KJV) "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;" Read verse 17. - By Ely Roque Sagansay
