Word of Wisdom from Mi Daily Devotion

Proverbs 17:1 KJV
[1] Better is a dry morsel, and quietness therewith, than an house full of sacrifices with strife.

"Sacrifice or sacrifices" are the lost words in the Christian world of service. Many Christians go to church to find comfort and a soft touch to their hearts and feelings. Some will go to church expecting to be served and not to serve. When was the last time you sacrificed for the name of Christ and for others?

I- Abraham sacrificed his only son Isaac- Genesis 22:2 KJV [2] And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. (Genesis 22:1- 14)

II- God the Father sacrificed His only Son- Jesus- Hebrews 10:8 KJV [8] Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein ; which are offered by the law; (Hebrews 10:3- 6)

III- We need to give our lives as a living sacrifice to God- Romans 12:1 KJV [1] I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.- By Ely Roque Sagansay
