10- 16- 10 MI DAILY DEVOTION (Proverbs 16:3; Psalm 37:5)
LETTER “C” STANDS FOR COMMIT IN “CHRISTIAN’s ABC’s”
3- “Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.”
5- “Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
We will learn from these 6 things that I believe, we as believers of the Lord should commit or entrust to God for own benefit and for His glory. Let us commit or entrust to God our:
Family- Commit their salvation to God. Commit their service to God. Commit their Life and decisions to God, knowing that He alone is our source of wisdom, knowledge and strength. Trust God for whatever God has for you.
Failures- We all have failures. Failures are just a stepping stone to a better future. Failures are real and painful, but we cannot make it in life without it. There will be no challenges in life, at work, in business or in sports without failures. Some good singers and musicians went through a lot of failures before they became big in the music business. The stairway to success sometimes starts with a step to failure. (Psalm 37: 23; 24) “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.”
Frustrations- Have you ever had a frustration in life where you were already in the brink of giving up. The sources of frustrations could be from work, people or family members. It means that it could come from circumstances, event/s in life that is beyond your control or could be from people’s attitude, people’s action/s and re-action/s. You got frustrated or get frustrated because of your personal circumstances and failures. It may even be from your own doing or it could come from your heart. We just have to take it with wisdom and commit it to God. Here’s a beautiful verse just to assure us of God’s promised for His people. (Psalm 37: 28) “For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.”
Fears- We all have fears and worries. Whatever things that made you so afraid of… commit it to God and let Him work in you and through you. (Psalm 34: 4) “I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.”
Finances- It is very obvious that people around the world are experiencing some kind of financial difficulties. Whether you are in the United States, United Kingdom, Philippines or Japan; you will have problems with your finances. Living in a progressive Country will not spare a man on any financial difficulties. You could live in the United States and not have the financial freedom. (Psalm 37:39- 40) 39- “But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. 40- And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.”
Future- We all know that God is the 1 who holds our future. We don’t know what lies ahead of us. (Proverbs 27: 1) “Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.”
As God’s children, we ought to commit everything to God because He is the 1 who is in control. So let’s remember this 3rd letter from the Christian’s ABC’s: C- “… COMMIT ALL THINGS UNTO GOD.” It means that we must entrust everything to God.
(Psalm 34: 8) “O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.”
