“Their Tongue Deviseth Evil…”

“2-  The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully. 3- Thou lovest evil more than good; and lying rather than to speak righteousness. Selah. 4- Thou lovest all devouring words, O thou deceitful tongue.” (Psalm 52:2- 4 KJV)

It’s very unfortunate to hear people say unpleasant words that don’t please our Lord or encouraging to fellow Christians. But it’s more discouraging to know when people gossip or backbites. Why do people do such things that are not helpful and are unpleasant? What makes them put their fellow men down and tried to destroy their integrity? Someone asked me questions why people gossip or backbite? These are not new in our generation. People during the times of King David, Mary and Joseph, and even during the time of the Lord Jesus Christ gossip and backbites. They accused our Lord of so many things that were not true. These are the people who are busy bodies, unaccomplished, and the friends of the accuser of the brethren. (Revelation 12:1; I Thessalonians 4:11)

But why do they gossip and backbite? Because they are busybodies, they felt accomplished if they hurt and destroy the integrity of other people. They want to be on the top, and they want to pull you down. I suggest, you don’t entertain such things, you don’t go down to their level, and stay away from those who may be walking disorderly, and a destroyer. But love them and pray for them. Apostle Paul wrote; “11- For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. 14- And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. 15- Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.” (II Thessalonians 3:11; 14- 15 KJV)

“Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,” (Ephesians 1:5 KJV)

On Mr. Charles Spurgeon's Daily Reading, he wrote; “O, I beseech thee, lay hold on this precious thought, perfection in Christ! For thou art "complete in Him." With thy Saviour's garment on, thou art holy as the Holy one. "Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us." Christian, let thy heart rejoice, for thou art "accepted in the beloved"--what hast thou to fear? Let thy face ever wear a smile; live near thy Master; live in the suburbs of the Celestial City; for soon, when thy time has come, thou shalt rise up where thy Jesus sits, and reign at His right hand; and all this because the divine Lord "was made to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him."

It is a blessing just to know you are accepted, but it is another blessing if you are accepted in the beloved. It means in the family of God. It is in Jesus Christ alone. And you cannot get this blessing by being religious, and by sincerely observing the religious ceremonies or in your cultural and traditional religious practices.

Apostle Paul said; “To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.” (Ephesians 1:6 KJV)

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” (Ephesians 1:7 KJV)

A gentleman approached me while I was walking down from the stage in a church where I was invited to speak. I was talking to the host pastor when a nice and decent looking man asked me why my books are expensive? I answered; "Sir, it's expensive in your money but not in our money." He was kind of upset and disappointed because he can't afford to pay the amount in dollars. If you use the United Kingdom's currencies which is "Pounds", it would be less because the UK's money has more value than the United States. But it could be more in pesos or in yen.

The writer of the book of Hebrews said; “13- For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: 14- How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” (Hebrews 9:13- 14 KJV) I'm thankful that the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and His death on the cross has the same value anytime, anywhere, to anyone, and for the payment for our sin or sins. But we have to believe in Him and trust what He did on the cross for our sins. No matter how expensive or costly the gifts are, if we refused or reject such gifts, it will all be in vain, and it will mean nothing to us. The Bible says; “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23 KJV)

“God Himself Called Christ to the Tasks…”

“And no man taketh this honour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron. 5- So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, Thou art my Son, today have I begotten thee,” (Hebrews 5:4- 5 KJV)

God Himself called Christ to the tasks. And that’s the reason why we don’t have to work hard to go to heaven. That’s the reason why God will not ask us of our religion, or require us of our religious ritual, because He is our religion. God will not weight the good versus the bad in us. God will not check our spirituality to see if we’re spiritual enough for heaven. Christ is the Supreme good and the only good. He is Holy and He is God. “No one is good but God” the Lord Jesus Christ said, during His encounter with rich young ruler.

Christ reconciled us to God by His death on the cross. Notice the writings of Apostle Paul; “Wherefore in all things it behooved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.” (Hebrews 2:17 KJV) “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.” (Romans 5:10 KJV) “18- And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19- “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20- “Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.” (II Corinthians 5:18- 20 KJV)

It’s a Matter of Decision on Your Part

“Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)” (Hebrews 10:23 KJV)

The Lord has given us the freedom of choice. He set before us life and death, evil and good. It's just a matter of decision for us. A split of a second decision with a lifetime and eternal results. We need to observe the LWK- Love the Lord,  Walk with the Lord and in His ways, Keep His Word. The blessings will follow and we will see our promised land.

The prophets experienced the faithfulness and goodness of God. The 3 Hebrew Christians who stood on their feet for God during the evil king Nebuchadnezzar's desire for worship were protected by the Lord. Apostle Paul remained faithful to God in spite of impending death that was set before him. He decided to love God and be faithful to him. How about you?

 I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil; In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it. But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them; (Deuteronomy 30:15-17 KJV)

There are 10 reasons why your family or your home is all about you.

·       You have to pay the price.

·       You must always be there for them.

·       You have to support them and encourage them.

·       You have to involve yourself in their dreams and talents.

·       You have to sacrifice what you want for them, and sacrifice your own principles and desire in their behalf.

·       You have to strengthen your relationship with your spouse.

·       You have to exercise the same principles as commanded by God in the Scriptures.

·       You have to love your spouse.

·       You will always have problems, therefore be strong in the Lord.

·       You must learn to submit and obey God at all costs.

The Scriptures says; “Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God. 22- Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. 23- For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the Saviour of the body.” (Ephesians 5:21- 23 KJV)

The Potter and the Clay- (Learning by Surrendering)

“5- Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying, 6- O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? Saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.” (Jeremiah18: 5- 6 KJV)

We surrender to God in our extremity, in our prosperity, and by the leading and the conviction of the Holy Spirit. In a game or sports or in a battlefield; if you surrender then you’re a loser. But in Christianity, the more we surrender the more we win. We win for Christ, in Christ and for His glory. (Romans 12:1- 2)

We want to win but we resist God. It’s easier for the clay to submit and surrender to the Potter’s hand than for us people to submit and surrender ourselves under the mighty hand of God. Remember the time when Jesus was with His disciples in the ship in the midst of the storm? (Mark 4:36-39) The wicked storm and the wind as well as the huge waves obeyed the Lord Jesus Christ, but the disciples of Jesus were fearful and doubtful.

God is the Master Builder and we are his materials or his tools for His purpose and glory. If the clay is not good or there’s some stone in the clay, the pottery will be defective and (the potter) will smash the clay down and he will start all over again, so he could make it or shape it the way He wants it to be. We know how it feels to be mold and to be broken. We are God’s earthen vessels. The Bible said; “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10 KJV)

I Failed Miserably, I Did!

“1- Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.” (Psalm 12:1 KJV)

I am not afraid to fail, because I failed so many times. I’m more scared of not failing. Why? Because it’s either I’m satisfied to be stagnant, I lost my dreams and visions already, or I’m afraid to take some risks. Whether I failed or succeeded don’t really matter to me, because what I’ve done, and what I do is not about me, but because of Him who died for me. A Christian who is Kingdom focus will never be out of focus. It means your focus is on the Kingdom of God or for the furtherance of the same.

The people you know may redicule you for the failure that you went through, but they may not know that the outcome of the step you’ve taken may just be the beginning of something beyond your dream and understanding.

When you desire to please the King, you don’t need the tap on the back of your fellow servant. Remember that the commendation at the end of this life will not be about your successes or failures, but it’s about your attitude towards your Master’s trust on you, and what He has entrusted to you.

Jesus said; “20- And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. 21- His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” (Matthew 25:20- 21 KJV)

The Lord by His grace opened the door of forgiveness to everyone including the chief among sinners like the Apostle Paul. God forgave Moses who killed an Egyptian. God forgave King David when he committed adultery on Bathsheba and killed Uriah to cover up his sins. (II Samuel 11: 1- 27) If God forgave them, He can forgive you too. Be it a weakness, a moral issue, God’s blood can cleanse you of any sin or sins.

The Bible says; “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”

Adam Clarke wrote; “Contentment. The wise servant. The Lord tries the heart. Children a crown to their parents. We should hide our neighbour's faults. The poor should not be despised. Litigations and quarrels to be avoided. Wealth is useless to a fool. The good friend. A fool may pass for a wise man when he holds his peace. Peace and contentment, and especially domestic peace, are beyond all other blessings.” (Adam Clarke Commentary- Notes on Chapter 17)

The word “contentment” is not popular to many wealthy individuals or prosperous homes. It is not a common word to some progressive countries and continents. But to some people who lives in poverty all their life time, and to some third world countries; it's the word you have to put into practice or it's the only way out from complaining. May we all be satisfied with what God have placed before us.

The words of Apostle Paul to young Timothy is as relevant and as timely as it is today. He said; “6- But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7- For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 8- And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.” (I Timothy 6:6- 8 KJV)

The Hope of His Calling

“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19- And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,” (Ephesians 1:18-19 KJV)

We must serve God in love and with hope or expectation. In our deepest and sincere service to God, we can always expect Him to work in us and through us. “There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;” (Ephesians 4:4 KJV) We are serving God who gave us hope so we can encourage those who are hopeless. Paul said that the God of hope will fill us with all joy, peace, hope, and the power of the Holy Ghost.

Apostle Paul encouraged the believers during his times when he said; “14- And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.” (Romans 15:13- 14 KJV) We magnify God in our lives, and we set an example for others to follow. Our expectation, exhortation and example should shade hope to the hopeless, and it must help and encourage others to do the same. We can also hope in God for our daily sustenance.

The Bible says; “The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. 26- It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.” (Lamentations 3:24, 26 KJV)

The Principles of Sowing and Reaping

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." (Galatians 6:7-9 KJV)

The origin of this principles or philosophy was from the Lord. It's the principle of "Sowing and Reaping". "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you..." Or "Do not do unto others that which you don't want others will do unto you. This is true in our giving to the Lord as well as in our charitable works for our fellow men. The evil deeds that we've done to others will bear the same fruit someday, it means we will reap what we sow. The Lord will not close His eyes to those who are faithfully giving their lives, their resources, and their strenght. And He will not close His eyes either to those who practiced evil, dishonest, unfaithful, greedy, and selfish… God is a just God, He is the same yesterday, today, and for eternity.

Jesus said; "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets." (Matthew 7:12 KJV)

I wonder if Pacquiao - Mayweather fight could beat this number. But there are wars and fighting in the other side of the world, and millions are dying; but sad to say that millions don’t have any idea what’s going on in our planet. Some don’t even dare to read the news or watch the news on television about the conflict. There’s no more value for life even in the religious sectors. No doubt that we are living in the End Times. Jesus is coming very soon!

Apostle Paul wrote; “16- For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  17- Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” (I Thessalonians 4: 16- 17 KJV)

Henry Matthew wrote about Abraham and Lot’s wealth and blessings according to Genesis chapter thirteen verses one to twelve; “His wealth: He was very rich, v. 2. He was very heavy, so the Hebrew word signifies; for riches are a burden, and those that will be rich do but load themselves with thick clay, Hab. 2:6. There is a burden of care in getting them, fear in keeping them, temptation in using them, guilt in abusing them, sorrow in losing them, and a burden of account, at last, to be given up concerning them. Great possessions do but make men heavy and unwieldy. Abram was not only rich in faith and good works, and in the promises, but he was rich in cattle, and in silver and gold.” (Henry Complete, Bible Collection)

It’s good to be rich and prosperous; but don’t trade your love ones for the sake of money or for love of money. Your love ones are God’s gift to you. Money could be a cause of downfall to some... Paul wrote; “9-But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10- For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” (I Timothy 6:9-10 KJV)

For His Cause at Any Costs

“Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness; 2- In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; 3- But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;” (Titus 1:1- 3)

Salvation is free for all, but it costs the Father His one and only Son- the Lord Jesus Christ. And it costs Christ His life, suffering and pain beyond our imagination. Christian’s hope is in the Lord. We have our hope in the foundation which God has built even before He created the world. We know we were born again, but many are not aware of their calling. As Christians, were called to serve and to preach and teach the Word of God by any means. Christians were commanded by the Lord to “GO”. God expect us to be committed to His cause. The Lord called us and He wants for us to continue in His grace and service. We must learn to keep on keeping on not for ourselves, but for His cause at any costs.

Notice the testimony of Apostle Paul in (II Timothy 2:10- 12) “But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 11- Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12- Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”

Accountability is a Response-Ability

“But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. (I Timothy 6:9 KJV)

Accountability is a necessity in every ministry where ever you may be in your service to the Lord. One of the biggest factors of many divisions in churches, conflict in the ministry or organizations, or divorce in many homes is accountability. I define accountability as “account- ability”. It is a two way accounting with an ability to be responsible to any duty, and moral responsibility.

If they both have accountability, Abraham and Lot could have known what was going on from down – up. That’s one of the problems of many churches or leaders who have so much power and prosperity, where the leaders could just do anything, and say anything and people will follow. No wonder we have good and great leaders who fell into sin. Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. (Proverbs 11:14 KJV) We have money issues, and sex issues that caused the churches and the ministries to fall. It could never be a one way pipeline. Every leader must be open for accountability. Less talk, more ears, less mistakes or failures, less sin. He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding. (Proverbs 15:32 KJV) The wisest man in the world said; “He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.” (Proverbs 28:26 KJV)

“11- Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other.” (Genesis 13:11 KJV)

Abraham and Lot’s problems were problems that can be resolved by separation or segregation, and by simply show some respect to each other. Abraham learned to apply prevention by confronting the issues between them. Abraham made the right decision, good judgment and did exactly what was right and fair. He did not let their little issues go unresolved. He resolved the issues before it went from bad to worst. You can’t just let go of the problem, let go of sin without taking any step- the right step forward. He asked Lot; “9- Is not the whole land before thee? separate thyself, I pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left.”

We can see the humility in Abraham’s decision in spite of his power, prosperity and wealth. He has authority over Lot, but Abraham did not use his authority, and power over him to solve conflict between them and their herdsmen. There are those who are humbled by the Lord through the success that God has given them, and the blessings of prosperity. Abraham’s secret of humility is in looking back from where God picked him up and in his prayer life. Verses 3 and 4; “3- And he went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai; 4- Unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.” (KJV)

Leadership Conflict

“6- And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together. 7- And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land. 8- And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.” (Genesis 13:6- 8 KJV) 

Leadership conflict was common during the Old Testament times as it is today in many churches, organizations or ministries. The common caused in leadership conflict are pride, arrogance, jealousy and envy. It was true to King Saul and David. King Saul was chasing David for years due to envy, jealousy, and insecurity. The conflict between Abraham and Lot was so intense that they have to separate their ways. It was obvious that the spirit that flows through their lives and their servants lives were different. It’s so ironic that they were God’s children and next door neighbors, they were related, and yet they submitted themselves to such conflict. Sin is the only reason why we have problems and conflict in Christian community, in some homes and countries as well.

Apostle Peter wrote; “8- Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: 9- Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.” (I Peter 3:8- 9 KJV)

I- God Challenge Us to Call Unto Him… It Means to Pray

“Call unto me…” “6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.” (Matthew 6:6 KJV)

II- God Committed Himself to Answer Our Prayers. “And I will answer thee…” “7- Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8- For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” (Matthew 7:7- 8 KJV)

III- God Will Capture Our Hearts, Our Minds, and Our Eyes with His Power to Answer Our Prayer. “And shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” “20- Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” (Ephesians 3:20KJV) “19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19 KJV)

We Need Good, Christ Centered and Godly Counsel…

A good, Christ centered and godly counsel or advice is worthy to be followed. A business person, an athlete, a pastor or an ordinary individual need a good counsel. In (proverbs 5:1-2) Solomon was addressing himself to his son in verse 1, he said “My son…” But we must also remember that Solomon was addressing himself to us too as his sons. He said; “Attend unto my wisdom…” Then he made a follow through after he laid the foundation; “Bow your ear to my understanding:” The foundation was for us to pay attention and exercise the writer’s wisdom. The wisdom that Solomon gain, and he learned from the Lord and His Word. He experienced the ups and down of this life. Solomon knew what it means to be separated from the fellowship with God because of sin.

Be ready to hear what the Spirit is saying to you and put them into practice. Exercise and apply Solomon’s wisdom, and understanding in your daily life. So you may act wisely and not stupidly and blindly. Read the book of Proverbs everyday at least a chapter a day. The Bible says; “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” (Revelation 2:29 KJV) Open your ears and your heart to Christ who died on the cross for your sins.

Our Path is as the Shining Light

“Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.” (Proverbs 28:18; 16:25 KJV)

A survival instructor for military shared to me their tactics on how to catch a monkey in the jungle. He said that the easiest way to catch a monkey is to set up a trap. And the trap would be a coconut. You make a small cut on the top of the coconut, and scrape the white stuff or coconut meat. Then you put some food or nuts inside. He said that once the monkey put his hand inside the coconut, and got hold of the food in it, the monkey will never get loose of it, and will go away holding onto the food with his hand closed. That will prevent the monkey from running or climbing the tree. It’s very simple and interesting, but the lesson to learn in our analogy could be a life saving, and beneficial even for eternity. It means be aware of the trap of the devil and don’t step into its way to destruction. The Bible says; “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” As Christians, we are the light of the world and the Bible says that our “…path is as the shining light.”

In (Proverbs 4:17 KJV), It is obvious that wickedness is their life. They eat and drink in wickedness and in darkness. In (Proverbs 4:19 KJV) “The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble.” Praise God (Proverbs 4:18 KJV) “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”

Come Out From Among Them!

“14- Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? 15- And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16- And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” (II Corinthians 6:14-16 KJV)

It means we are not supposed to fellowship with sinners. What I mean of having fellowship with sinners is when you agree with their sinful acts. It’s different when you are with sinners as compared to be in fellow with sinners. We are all sinners in the sight of God. “As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 23- For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:10; 23 KJV) But the difference is when you have asked Christ to forgive you of your sins, and you have repented of your sins; you are now a forgiven sinner and you’re not supposed to live in sin but for God.

While those who are practicing sinners, is still in sin, and obviously, they are living in sin. Anyone who turned their back from God and would not repent of their sins; those are the people who lives in sin and their lifestyle are sinful in the sight of God. You don’t walk along with them on their way to sin and Satan’s devices. Apostle Paul said; “17- Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,18- And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” (II Corinthians 6:17- 18 KJV)

Don’t Disable the Line to God’s Throne!

“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” (John 15:7 KJV)

When we arrived from our mission trip in the Philippines, I had a problem with my cell phone. I only received the incoming messages from facebook, but I can’t make an outgoing call. I looked at my iphone like a piece of junk. It was like a useless, nice piece of junk. No matter how great the promises of God to us are, and no matter how precious the Word of God is; if we don’t use it and don’t exercise what it says it would mean nothing to us. Apostle Paul says; “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21- Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.” (Ephesians 3:20 KJV)

God is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think… and the only way to disable God’s exceeding abundance blessings is for us not to ask or pray. And we can disable God’s working power in us and in our churches by lack of prayer. Jesus said; “And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.14- If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:13-14 KJV)

Christians must call on God consistently, consistent as how you use your cell phone, iphone and other gadgets every day. Paul put it this way… “Pray without ceasing.” Prayer is the only telephone or means of communication for Christians to use to usher their concern, and open their hearts unto the throne of heaven. You can’t be too shy to call and ask for help. Would you rather work hard, and sweat out to accomplish something, and not even dare to pray and call for help? We are just a prayer away. We want the touch of God, but we don’t want our knees to touch the floor as we humble ourselves to God in prayer. The Bible says; “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” (II Chronicles 7:14 KJV)

God’s desire for men was to communicate on Him and have an intimate relationship with Him. I believe when God said, “Call unto me…” It would surely means He wants to keep the communication line open, and the relationship intimate and active.

Paul was proud of their faith, of their love, of their patience and hope. I wonder how many churches we have all over the world where Paul could be proud of… and would render the same commendation to such church or churches. Paul was giving thanks to God for the good quality, and testimony that they have shown as Christians. Paul was praying for them also for what God was doing in their lives as well as in their church. They were faithful in performing their duties and executing the Christian faith. Although on Paul’s part, it was a prayer of thanksgiving and praise, but it was also a time of recognition and commendation. You can be a crown and joy to your pastor, parents or leader. Keep up the good work and be focus, stay focus, and kept the faith for God’s honor and glory!

Apostle Paul wrote; “Therefore, my brethren, dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.” (Philippians 4:1 KJV)

They Put Their Trust in God

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew 6:33 KJV)

Abraham and Isaac’s experienced when they put their heart together for God and God alone was honored by the Lord. Their desires were God centered and by their devotion, obedience, and worship; the Lord honored their faithfulness for His cause and the provision followed. (Genesis 22) Their sacrifices and love for the Lord in trials and hardships changed their lives forever. The principles in Matthew 6:33 were put into practiced since the Old Testament times. What Jesus said in this verse does not change, and has not changed. Abraham and Isaac’s reaction to God’s proposition was an act of faith; it is true to anyone who acted in faith or step out of faith.

If Apostle Paul was there during those times, I believe Paul would say these words to them based on (II Corinthians 5:7; 12: 9-10 KJV) “5- (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 9- And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.10- Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”
