“The eyes of your understanding being
enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the
riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19- And what is the
exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the
working of his mighty power,” (Ephesians 1:18-19 KJV)
We must serve God in love and with hope
or expectation. In our deepest and sincere service to God, we can always expect
Him to work in us and through us. “There is one body, and one Spirit, even as
ye are called in one hope of your calling;” (Ephesians 4:4 KJV) We are serving
God who gave us hope so we can encourage those who are hopeless. Paul said that
the God of hope will fill us with all joy, peace, hope, and the power of the
Holy Ghost.
Apostle Paul encouraged the believers
during his times when he said; “14- And I myself also am persuaded of you, my
brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able
also to admonish one another.” (Romans 15:13- 14 KJV) We magnify God in our
lives, and we set an example for others to follow. Our expectation, exhortation
and example should shade hope to the hopeless, and it must help and encourage
others to do the same. We can also hope in God for our daily sustenance.
The
Bible says; “The LORD is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in
him. 26- It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the
salvation of the LORD.” (Lamentations 3:24, 26 KJV)
