“14- Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for
what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion
hath light with darkness? 15- And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what
part hath he that believeth with an infidel? 16- And what agreement hath the
temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath
said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they
shall be my people.” (II Corinthians 6:14-16 KJV)
It means we are not
supposed to fellowship with sinners. What I mean of having fellowship with
sinners is when you agree with their sinful acts. It’s different when you are
with sinners as compared to be in fellow with sinners. We are all sinners in
the sight of God. “As it is written, There is none
righteous, no, not one: 23- For all have
sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Romans 3:10; 23 KJV) But
the difference is when you have asked Christ to forgive you of your sins, and
you have repented of your sins; you are now a forgiven sinner and you’re not
supposed to live in sin but for God.
While those who are practicing
sinners, is still in sin, and obviously, they are living in sin. Anyone who
turned their back from God and would not repent of their sins; those are the
people who lives in sin and their lifestyle are sinful in the sight of God. You
don’t walk along with them on their way to sin and Satan’s devices. Apostle
Paul said; “17- Wherefore come out from among them,
and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will
receive you,18- And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and
daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” (II Corinthians 6:17- 18 KJV)
