“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his
righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” (Matthew
6:33 KJV)
Abraham
and Isaac’s experienced when they put their heart together for God and God
alone was honored by the Lord. Their desires were God centered and by their
devotion, obedience, and worship; the Lord honored their faithfulness for His
cause and the provision followed. (Genesis 22) Their sacrifices and love for the Lord in
trials and hardships changed their lives forever. The principles in Matthew
6:33 were put into practiced since the Old Testament times. What Jesus said in this
verse does not change, and has not changed. Abraham
and Isaac’s reaction to God’s proposition was an act of faith; it is true to
anyone who acted in faith or step out of faith.
If Apostle Paul was there during those
times, I believe Paul would say these words to them based on (II Corinthians
5:7; 12: 9-10 KJV) “5- (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) 9- And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my
strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory
in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.10- Therefore I
take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions,
in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.”
