MI DAILY DEVOTION
“WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR CHURCHES…?”
(II Chronicles 7:14) “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”
What happened to our churches? That was one of the questions of a church member who was so concerned about the decline of the church membership, baptism, church activities, evangelism and church attendance. Christians, have you noticed it? Did you even care about it, and, were you disturbed about it? Or you’re used to it already? It’s just so sad that we have economic, moral and spiritual deterioration in many parts of the world including our beloved country, but it seems that many churches are just going through the flow; that Sunday worship and church life is just a part of our weekly activities as a human being. Do we need another 9/11 so we can be revived and recognize the Lordship of Christ? God forbid. The world is not getting any better and Christianity in many parts of the world including the USA needs the touch of God.
(Jonah 3:9- 10) 9- “Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not? 10- And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not.”
