From Our Hearts to Our Feet

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.” (Proverbs 4:23- 26 KJV)

Sin, vision, attitude, lifestyle, and our ways of life; it all starts from the heart. Then we will start talking about it. Jesus said; “…Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” (Matthew 12:34) If it's positive, we will start to have a positive mind set, but if it's negative, then we will absolutely be on it. Sin will stimulate man’s perverse lips; therefore it’s not a surprise if gossip will step in or man’s critical spirit will urges him to exercise its evil desire. If our heart is right, then our talk and our walk with God will go along with it.

Our eyes will then be focus on those things whatsoever we have treasured in our hearts. Our eyes will then enjoy that which we placed in our hearts; be it good or evil, positive or negative, Godly or not, and so on... I heard people say; “A constant practice makes perfect”. Let me say; “A constant right practice makes you perfect.” It helps you mature or learn to do things right.

The next thing we know is when we already are walking on it, on its path. But if our heart is in His Word, if our eyes is on Him, and we walk in His path and His will; we can’t be wrong! Be sure to take the advice of King Solomon in verse 27; “Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil.” (Proverbs 4:27 KJV)
