What is the Will of God for Your Life?

35- For whosoever shall do the will of God, the same is my brother, and my sister, and mother.” (Mark 3:35 KJV)

What really is the will of God for your life? Man can assume to be in the will of God; but it’s hard to really determine to be in the center of God’s will. So, what is God’s will for my life and your life? It is the will of God for us to be saved, for us to go to heaven, and to repent. It is not His will for us to perish and go to hell. The Bible says; “9- The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (II Peter 3:9 KJV)

It’s not only in salvation, but in His service. It is God’s will for us to serve Him and to offer our lives to Him. It is to surrender and to sacrifice in accordance to His will and for His glory. Apostle Paul wrote; “1- I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. 2- And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” (Romans 12:1- 2 KJV)

We must be separated from sin and Satan. “3- For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: 4- That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;” (I Thessalonians 4:3- 4 KJV) It is God’s will for us to live a life separated from sin and Satan’s devices. We must abstain from fornication and live a life of honor and sanctification. The word “fornication” in ESV version means “sexual immorality”. Sanctification means “being set apart”. Apostle Paul wrote; “If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.” (II Timothy 2:21 KJV)
