Proverbs 10:1 KJV
"The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother."
"Glad" is a nice word to hear. It's nice to hear someone would say to you; "I'm glad you're..." Or say; "I'm glad you're here..." It's even nicer if someone will encourage you to do things and we're glad you're doing it the best you can. But going back more than 2,000 years ago before Jesus was born in the flesh could be more encouraging. It was when the angel Gabriel appeared to Zacharias before the birthday of the King- notice the delivered message for the whole world from God in this verse; (Luke 1:19 KJV) "And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings."
