Proverbs 19:1 KJV
"Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool."
There are people who are poor in financial or material wealth, but rich in spirit and love. There are those who are poor in wisdom and knowledge, but they're rich in something else... Some poor people are blessed with good, intellectual and God loving children- while others have filled their children's desire with temporal goods but they're lacking of spiritual things. Someone's wealth is another man's poorness. Someone's riches may have been my deficiency and poverty. But I would rather be poor in the sight of man and rich in God's side.
