HOPE IN A FAITHFUL GOD
God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. (I Corinthians 1:9)
Luke 15 is a lost and found chapter, but it’s also a hope chapter. In this chapter, we have the man who lost a sheep out of a hundred and he left the ninety and nine and started looking for the sheep with hope. The woman who lost a silver and she looked for it in the dark with the hope that she will find the lost coin. It is obvious that the father of the prodigal son did not lost hope. We are in the same condition; we’re all lost in sin. We are all sinners and a friend of an enemy. We need to return to God and let Him rescue us, save us and forgive us of our sinfulness.
H- Humbly come to God for salvation and lay down your burden upon His feet. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 7- Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (I Peter 5:6- 7)
O- Offer to God your heart and soul and overcome all trials and temptations by His grace and mercy. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. (I Corinthians 10:13)
P- Pray earnestly for God’s intervention and blessings. There are people around you whose actions and re-actions are beyond your control. Pray for them too. Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: (Matthew 7:7)
E- Endure unto the end and be faithful to God. Don’t let the devil stop you! Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator. (I Peter 4:19)
