2014 Will Be History For Everyone

2014 will be history for everyone. We cannot undo, refresh, or rewind the past, but we can learn from it in someways. I wish I have the opportunity to be with you all in your  success, prosperity and blessings. But all I can do is to rejoice with you, although we're separated by miles and space. But the saddest part for me could be when you were alone, discouraged, in need, in pain or you were in your deepest moment of your life. The only comfort for me is to know that God is with you, and pray for you when you made known your requests to God. And as you step into the New Year; be sure to stay positive and strengthen your faith! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!

Check Your "M" Number Four Series

These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. (Jude 1:6 King James Version)

You need a morality check if you disobey the authorities; be it in the government or the law of the land, at work, your parents or superior, and most of all- GOD. You need to search your heart, humble yourself, and hear what the Bible says or listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit and start right this New Year.

You need a morality check if gossip, greed, godlessness, gambling etc. have engulfed your life or your way of life instead of living for God and your family.

You need a morality check if pride and haughty spirit is inside of you. Satan had a huge, BIG and long distance fall when pride was found in His heart by God. And it was a quick trip from heaven to earth, above the earth and under it. By the way, Satan and his angels lost their beauty.

You need a morality check if you enjoy watching and looking at the porn in your TV sets or computer and not be bothered at all. The lust of the flesh will always be there, but there is always a way to escape. "
18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts." (Jude 1:18 KJV)

My Morality Check Series III

"Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test?" (II Corinthians 13:5 King James Version)

It's been a great and fruitful year but a little bit tough in the last 4 months of 2014. God is faithful all the time and in His grace and mercy we stand.

We have responsibilities and duty to God. We need to exercise our love for it. It's the challenges we have to take, it's the faith we have to step into, and it's the courage we have to embrace.

Humility is a process that I have to deal with everyday, and it frankly hurts my ego and I assume you do too. But again, I'm grateful to God for His grace because without it; my life, His ministry in me, and my dream could have been 6 feet under me for sure.

May we erase and leave the past and look forward to the future, drop the failure and concentrate to the present, be critical to ourselves but positive to others and lift up or encourage those who are weak.

As we step into the New Year (2015); remember it's not your year to explore, to waste, to have fun with; but as a borrowed time and days; may we will use it unselfishly and for His glory. God bless and enjoy every bit and seconds of your life.

Jesus in You I Can Trust

"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
For by it the elders obtained a good report." (Hebrews 11:1- 2 King James Version)

"And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.

10 The righteous shall be glad in the Lord, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory." (Psalm 63:9- 10 KJV)

Morality Check Series II

"Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham." (Luke 3:8 King James Version)

You need a morality check if you put more value on the temporal rather than on eternal. And if your priorities and time is set to your house, in your work, business and friends, or money than your family, then it's time for you to refresh, renew and review. (Matthew 6:33)

"14 Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." (Joshua 24:14- 15 KJV)

You need a morality check if you have hurt someone physically, emotionally, financially or in some ways, and you could still sleep with your conscience darkened by greed and selfishness... This may be very straightforward; but a personal recognition of sin and naming it as it is could be more helpful than to go around the bush. A repentance and a spirit of humility for reconciliation is actually a good step towards the right spirit and healing. (Acts 3:19- 21)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Morality Check Series

"23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: 24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." (Psalm 139:23- 24 King James Version)
I believe we all need to have some soul searching and physical, spiritual and moral check ups before the New Year starts. Let's start with morality check up:
You need a morality check if the life of a dog, a cat or any animal is more important to you than the life of a fetus, an embryo or a baby inside a mother's womb or your womb. You need a morality check if you put more importance to the life of the animals and the trees than to your fellow human beings. (Exodus chapter one)

You need a morality check if you don't agree with bed undefiled, and actually doing the opposite without any feeling of your conscience being soared with hot iron. (Hebrews 13:4)

You need a morality check if common sins such as lying, stealing and taking advantage of others are just fine with you. Just to let you know- it's actually the common sins of the end times. (Hosea 4:2; II Thessalonians 2:9; Revelation 3:9; 22:15)

You need a morality check if you can get home drunk and miss your time with your family, with God, His Word and prayer, And the sad thing to happen the next day is either missing church or work. Yes, I know I did not mention the expenses for the drinks, the consequences of Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and how wine, liquor and strong drinks will affect your body's system. And if you're not bothered about it; you need a check up. I may intentionally skip quoting Bible references for this to make it sound more practical than spiritual but in case you need some... (Proverbs 20:1; 21:17; 23:30- 31; 31:4- 6 Ephesians 5:18) - By Ely Roque Sagansay

You're Afraid or Hesitant to Say or Greet "Merry Christmas"? Why?

"And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." (Philippians 2:5- 11 KJV)

December 25 is not the celebration of the birthday of an individual named "Happy" last name "Holiday". No his/her name is not "Happy" with a last name "Holiday". I have a guy friend name "Happy" and I was blessed to have a school mate, a girl name "Happy" too. But not one of them are celebrating December 25 as their birthday. You may know of someone with the same name and the birth date fall on the 25th of December, but one thing for sure- the last name could not be "Holiday".

If your name is "Happy" and you were born on December 25 at any year; let me know and I'll send you a copy of one of my books (signed) as a gift.  Go to www.ely-roque-sagansay.com to claim your gift. You have to prove by your birth certificate or driver license. My point is, people will greet you "Happy Holiday" because they want to point you to the observance of the season and not to the Object or the reason of the season. They are pointing you to the calendar and not to the CHRIST of CHRISTmas.

You're afraid or hesitant to say or greet "Merry Christmas" because you will mention the name of Christ which will lead you to the manger or the cross. If you're a Muslim, Jewish, Mormons or you belong to some religious group; I know you at least believe in Jesus. So, what's the big deal if you say; "Merry Christmas"? Don't be afraid to offend them due to (political correctness) they probably know Jesus more than you do.

"5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6- Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7- But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: 8- And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 9- Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name; 10- That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; (Philippians 2:5- 1o KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Jesus, the Prince of Peace

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6 King James Version)

Wealthy people all over the world may look like they have all the money in their hands, but if you only see their hearts and minds; they may have more fear and worries than a bum or the poorest person in the world. Peace is one of the treasures in life where money will be of no value if someone is in need of it, even just for a minute. Rich people are willing to write a check to acquire inner peace or peace of mind. The Bible says; “And the way of peace have they not known:” (Romans 3:17 KJV) Jesus is our only source of peace. Six times in the New Testament Jesus is called the God of peace. Apostle Paul testified; “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:”(Romans 5:1 KJV)

Dr. Billy Graham in his book “Peace with God” wrote; “Peace can be experienced only when we have received divine pardon- when we have been reconciled to God and when we have harmony within, with our fellow man and especially with God.”

The wars between countries, between love ones, or in churches are the revelation of a world in need of peace. The greatest war that is very active right now is between God and man. It’s between God’s holiness and man’s wickedness. The other one could be the war between God and Satan. we are in a warfare with the enemy as God’s children, especially this Christmas season. We have an annual warfare with those who do not believe in the virgin birth, in the Lord Jesus Christ and in the true meaning of Christmas.

Apostle Paul wrote; “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:7 KJV) We need the peace of God because He is the God of peace. We need the Holy Spirit because He is the Spirit of peace. And we need the Lord Jesus Christ because He is the Prince of peace. The prophet Isaiah prophesied; “Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.” (Isaiah 9:14 KJV)- By Ely Roque Sagansay

Christmas is Coming Soon- Forgive!

“To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. 7- In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” (Ephesians 1:6- 7 King James Version)

“And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31- Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32- And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.”(Ephesians 4: 31-32 KJV)

The Lord by His grace opened the door of forgiveness to everyone including the chief among sinners like the Apostle Paul and King Herod. The problem with Herod- he refused to be forgiven by not repenting and asked God's forgiveness. God forgave Moses who killed an Egyptian. God forgave King David when he committed adultery on Bathsheba and killed Uriah to cover up his sins. (II Samuel 11: 1- 27) If God forgave them, He can forgive you too. Be it a weakness, a moral issue/s. God’s blood can cleanse you of any sin or sins. And we must forgive others too! “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29 KJV) Christmas is Coming Soon- Forgive!- By Ely Roque Sagansay

We can keep the Spirit of Christmas with God’s love

“Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. “ (John 14:17 King James Version)

How would it be like to have Christmas without Santa Claus or Saint Nicholas? How about celebrating Christmas without the reindeer, the Christmas tree, the Christmas lights and Christmas decors? Will Christmas be more meaningful minus the secular Christmas carols and all kinds of Christmas related parties? Will it be more joyous, happy and abundant if shopping and the food on the table is not our priorities? It's just some of the questions I have in mind as I think of the true meaning of Christmas. I'm very much sure they don't have those kind of things when Jesus was born.

My previous year’s experienced was totally different from this year. The top on our list to do and not to do for the coming years are different. My son Ej and I are already looking forward of celebrating next year’s Christmas day. We're always excited to celebrate Christmas. But no matter what our attitude may be this Christmas season; we must remember the name above all names- Jesus Christ the Savior of the world.
The Spirit of Christmas must be 24/7 or 365 days a year. May we don't leave the Spirit of Christmas on the table and in your unwrapped gifts. Keep it in your hearts as you keep the Lord’s commandment.

We can keep the Spirit of Christmas with God’s love and in our devotion to Him and Him alone. Let God’s Spirit dwell in you. (Ephesians 3:16- 17; Colossians 3:16)- By Ely Roque Sagansay
