May We Let Jesus Rule Our Hearts By Faith

“By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth.” (Proverbs 8:16 King James Version)

The book of Proverbs was penned by Solomon. The meaning of Solomon is peaceable, which shows in his character. David’s life was full of troubles while Solomon lived quietly and peaceably with his fellow men. It was his honour to be identified with King David and be in the line of the promised Messiah. Christ is called the Son of David and Solomon was a type of Christ. Solomon was the king of Israel —The Lord Jesus Christ is the King of kings.

Solomon can be compared to man from age to age, but we cannot compare Jesus, He is God- the second person of the holy trinity. This Christmas, let us remember Jesus who was born in Bethlehem, but He died at the cross of Calvary because of His love for you and for me. May we let Jesus rule our hearts by faith. Jesus said; “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” (Revelation 3:20 KJV)
