"Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham." (Luke 3:8 King James Version)
You need a morality check if you put more value on the temporal rather than on eternal. And if your priorities and time is set to your house, in your work, business and friends, or money than your family, then it's time for you to refresh, renew and review. (Matthew 6:33)
"14 Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. 15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." (Joshua 24:14- 15 KJV)
You need a morality check if you have hurt someone physically, emotionally, financially or in some ways, and you could still sleep with your conscience darkened by greed and selfishness... This may be very straightforward; but a personal recognition of sin and naming it as it is could be more helpful than to go around the bush. A repentance and a spirit of humility for reconciliation is actually a good step towards the right spirit and healing. (Acts 3:19- 21)- By Ely Roque Sagansay
