Why Christmas is Unique...?

And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.”

Christmas is Unique because Jesus was born and His birth was mentioned by the Lord Himself in (Genesis 3:15 KJV). The Bible says; “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” The first prophecy mentioned in the Bible from the mouth of God the Father. Although it was also prophesied by the prophets hundreds of years before Jesus was born but then, it need not be confirmed or authenticated because it was God the Father Who first prophesied His birth. ( Genesis 3:15; Micah 5:2; Isaiah 9:6)

Christmas is Unique because on Christmas day, Jesus was born to die for sinners. There is no other individual or great leader other than Jesus; the way He was born, lived here on earth and died. (John 8:46; 3:16; Romans 5:8). He was completely man but He was sinless. His works and ministry was unusual. He heals and raised Lazarus from the dead. “He taketh away the sins of the world…” And He loves us in spite of our sinfulness. He cares for us and did miracles and still performing miracles. There is no other holiday or occasion such as great and universally celebrated by the whole world as Christmas. No one can destroy what God hath founded or started. God gave us Jesus, and that’s the reason for the occasion, celebration, and the season!

Christmas is the key to the gospel. He died not for Himself but for us, for our sins. He died for the salvation of mankind. He died to give us hope. He died so we can live. He died, was buried and rose again the third day and He’s coming back. (I Corinthians 15:1- 4) -By Ely Roque Sagansay
