When you trust God for
salvation, it was not just about His Son’s death on the cross, but also Jesus’
birth, burial and resurrection. You cannot just believe on Jesus on the cross,
but on that same Jesus the Messiah that was born of a virgin. Obviously, we
don’t see and touch the physical body of the baby Jesus in a manger, and we
cannot picture the agony and pain of Mary and Joseph as they obey God; but we
know and we believe in the narratives of Christmas. We trust God in every
aspects of life- it means in everything. We pray
and trust God for our needs, problems and future,
but still, we seem to forget the miracle that happened on that first Christmas
day when Jesus was born on that blessed night.
Gideon was a man who has no self worth and self esteem, Moses
stutter when he speak, Apostle Paul was in prison and in deep need, Zacchaeus
was short and a thief; yet they were all used by the Lord when they trusted Him
and obeyed God. They were blessed by the Lord in spite of their personal
issues. One of my favorite verses in the Bible- “5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and
lean not unto thine own understanding. 6 In
all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5- 6
KJV) May we learn to entrust everything
in the hands of God this Christmas season and the years to come as we accept
the Christ of Christmas! -By Ely Roque
