“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of
yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9- Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8- 9 King James Version)
Christmas means the
free gift of salvation. We received eternal life
as a free gift. (Romans 6:23; John 3:16; Titus 3:4- 5) We will spend eternity
in heaven with Jesus and His free gift of beyond our imagination, majestic and heavenly mansions.
Jesus said; “In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would
have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3- And if I go and prepare a
place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am,
there ye may be also.” (John 14:2- 3 KJV)
And one of the reasons
why we have Christmas was because of His birth. Jesus came here on earth so we could have God’s gift of forgiveness for
our sins and trespasses. No need of Hocus Pocus, reading and
checking on all the fine prints or shade of doubt. You just need humility,
repentance, and faith in the Son of God and what He did on the cross. It is
impossible to adore the manger without looking at the cross. The manger was
Jesus’ first step to the cross. (Ephesians 1:6- 7) The Bible says; “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his
people from their sins.” (Matthew 1:21 KJV) -By Ely Roque Sagansay
