People Refused to Believe on Him and on His Birth

“But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, we will not have this man to reign over us.” (Luke 19:14 King James Version)

The world refused to believe about the prophecy of His birth in the Old Testament, during the New Testament times, and when the time has come when His birthday was a reality. The birthday of the Lord Jesus Christ was hard to believe in by the faithless generations during His time until the times of the Gentiles- our times.

King Herod was afraid to believe because of his fear of losing his kingdom on the Lord’s birth. As it was known to many, Herod thought Jesus will proclaim Himself King of the Jews. He is the King of kings; but they refused to believe Him as so… King Herod would rather put his faith on his political influence and political power by refusing to believe in the birth of the King of kings. Insecurity and prevalent attitude of unbelief of man are some of the reasons why Christmas celebration is an issue.

The brothers of Joseph the son of Jacob would not believe him for his dream; because they thought that Joseph would be their leader and Joseph will be greater than them according to the interpretation of his dream. “And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it to his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. 8- And his brethren said; Shalt thou indeed reign over us? Or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his works.” (Genesis 37:5; 8 KJV) Man has not changed, but be different- celebrate Christmas with godly fear and faith in what God has done through Christ. (John 7:5; John 1:10- 12)
