"9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage? 10 Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years." (Galatians 4:9- 10 King James Version)
If you will ask someone of what they think about Christmas, you will definitely hear different answers. And it may based on their belief, perspective, mindset, tradition, religious belief or culture. The words "Christmas" "Rapture" and "Toothbrush" and some of the modern terms and words can't be found in the Bible. The designated months of the year are not in the Bible either like "January" "February" "March" etc. The Scriptures used numbers like "First Month" "Third Month" "Fourth Month" etc. of which in our modern term would be called "Ordinal Numbers" or "in Figures". (Exodus 12:2; 40:2; 17; 19:1)
The time, the dates, the human outlook will not matter or of no essence due to the fact of what the Word of God said about this important event in human history. Christmas is about the purpose of God. It's about the element and the miracle of the virgin birth, and most of all it's about God's love. In a positive way; 'What Difference Does it Make?' if you have a different idea or doctrine about Christmas. Jesus is Christmas because Christ-Man-Author-Savi or (Christ-M-A-S) is all about Him.
The prophecy of Isaiah was 600 years or more before the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ. But we know that it was prophesied not to prove that the Bible is true or the absolute truth; but the fulfillment of such truth. (Genesis 3:15; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:21; Luke 2:1- 20; John 1:1- 14) The true Biblical account of Christmas and the true essence of Christmas are different from the world’s mind set. There’s nothing wrong with us practicing the culture, the tradition and other practices during Christmas day, but don’t set aside the true Spirit of the celebration. Keep Christmas by focusing on the Celebrant- that's what makes the difference! (John 3:16)- By Ely Roque Sagansay
