5 GREAT BENEFITS ON THE DEATH OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

5 GREAT BENEFITS ON THE DEATH OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST
There are countless benefits on the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. But let me share to you at least 5 benefits which I believe could be the major reasons why Jesus died for you and for me. I- His death restored us to God. II- Christ’s death reconciled us to God the Father. III- His death on the Cross redeemed us by His own Blood. IV- His death on the Cross regenerated us by and through the power of the Holy Spirit of God. V- His death on the Cross caused us to repent of our sins with the conviction of the Holy Spirit of God. This coming Holy week, we will be reminded of His death on the Cross 2,000 years ago. And because of that great sacrificed that He has done; we were restored from our sins and we were tied back to God. We were once separated from God the Father and the shed Blood of the Lamb of God restored the hopeless, helpless sinners such us. (Isaiah 59: 1- 2) 1- “Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: 2- But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.” Christ reconciled us to God. He is our mediator to God the Father; nothing else and no one else. (I Timothy 2:4- 6) 4- “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5- For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6- Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” While Jesus was hanging on the Cross of Calvary, He was thinking of you and me and the redemption that He shared to us by His sacrifice. (Matthew 20:28) “Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” (Ephesians 1:7) “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;” And because of His great love for us and His shed blood, we were born again, not by man- made religion and not by the power of the flesh but in the Spirit. (Titus 3:3- 6) 3- “For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 4- But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5- Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6- Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;” One of the greatest thing that we have done is when we listen to the prompting, working, convicting power and the leading of the Holy Spirit of God, to humbly come to the Father for repentance. (II Peter 3:9) “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” (John 16:8- 13) 8- And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9- Of sin, because they believe not on me; 10- Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; 11- Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. 12- I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13- Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.”
