THE PRECIOUSNESS AND THE POWER OF CHRIST’S ATONEMENT

04- 18- 11 MI DAILY DEVOTION (Romans 8:31- 34)
THE PRECIOUSNESS AND THE POWER OF CHRIST’S ATONEMENT
31- “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32- He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33- Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. 34- Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.”
1- It was God’s perfect plan and work. (Galatians 4:4- 5)
2- It was God’s perfect will and time. (Galatians 4:4- 5; Romans 5:1- 21)
3- It was prophesied in the Word of God. (Genesis 3:15, 22:7- 8)
4- It is God’s will for all men to be saved. (II Peter 3:9; Luke 19:12; John 3:16)
5- It has the power to save. (Acts 4:10- 13; Ephesians 1:7; Philippians 2:5- 13)
6- It has the power to cleanse us from all our sins. (I John 1:1- 10)
7- It has the power to give life. (John 3:16; I John 5:9- 13)
8- It has the power to overcome. (Revelation 12:9- 11; Ephesians 6:10- 19)
9- It has the power over sin. (Romans 8:1- 16; 6:23)
10- It has the power over Satan. (Revelation 12:9- 11)
11- It has the power over any other power through the Blood of the Lamb. (Revelation 12:9- 11; Ephesians 6:10- 17)
12- It has the power over death. (Romans 5:12; 6:23)
He died so we would live, He suffered so we would have His joy and happiness and He was chastised and afflicted so we could have peace and healing.
As the Holy Thursday and Good Friday is just a few days away, may we ponder upon the blessings of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection, and the blessing of freedom from sin. The Apostle Paul gave us the comfort of the Lord’s blessings of Atonement as according to the Book of (Romans 5:11) “And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.”
