THE LOVE OF GOD THE FATHER
IS HIS CHRISTmas TREE
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
“The LOVE of God is Greater far than tongue or pen can ever tell, It goes beyond the highest star And reaches to the lowest hell; The guilty pair, bowed down with care, God gave His Son to win: His erring child He reconciled And pardoned from sin. O love of God, how rich and pure! How measureless and strong! It shall forever more endure the saints’ and angels song.” (Frederick M. Lehman) What a beautiful song. No one can measures, describe it in words or tongues, picture it in a canvas. Our mind is limited in its capacity to comprehend such LOVE. It’s really beyond our human comprehension. Faith in the Lord and what He has done on the cross two thousand years ago is the key to really understand His Great love for humanity. Only as we “LET” the Holy Spirit of God convicts us of our sins and our hopelessness and helplessness. Not only God showed us His love through His Son, God the Father was the one who executed such love on the Cross, no wonder when Jesus prayed at the Garden of Gethsemane, He asked the Father to “…take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.” (Luke 22: 42). The Lord Jesus Christ by His death on the cross; gave us the Father’s love, and such love should serve us an example for us to follow. Let’s explore the great example of God and His love for us. The Bible said; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3: 16; I John 4: 7- 12)
