WHAT DO YOU REALLY WANT FOR CHRISTmas?
(Luke 2:13- 14) 13- “And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14- Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”
What do you really want for CHRISTmas? One of my children asked me that question one CHRISTmas day. That could be the same question you may have asked on CHRISTmas day. The best way to enjoy CHRISTmas is to learn to appreciate what you already have and celebrate the goodness of God in our lives. You cannot mixed CHRISTmas with worldly pleasures and worldly things, because CHRISTmas is spiritual, thus; we must celebrate it in spiritual sense and in a spiritual way. When I was a new pastor, I made an outline of my preaching about CHRISTmas.
I- The purpose of CHRISTmas. (Matthew 1:21)
II- The person of CHRISTmas. (Philippians 2:5- 10)
III- The place of the first CHRISTmas day. (Micah 5:2; Luke 2:4)
IV- The prayer and worship on CHRISTmas. (Luke 2:13- 14; 1:46)
V- The price tag of CHRISTmas. (Matthew 2:12- 23)
VI- The preciousness of the dreams on the first CHRISTmas day. (Matthew 1:20- 25)
VII- The difference between God’s power and Herod’s power on the first CHRISTmas day. (Luke 2:21- 52)
Check out what the Bible said about what God wants from us this CHRISTmas. He wants our heart and our trust in Him. (John 3:16) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
