Wisdom of the Day from Mi Daily Devotion

"When thou sittest to eat with a ruler, consider diligently what is before thee:" (Proverbs 23:1 KJV)

Anyone who sit to eat will surely sit to relax and enjoy the meal. We would usually eat to our satisfaction, and not to think or consider what is before us. We recently had a dinner with my daughter. Seated across us was our daughter and grandson. While we eat and try to enjoy our food, surprisingly, my wife was busy taking pictures of them while my grandson was busy playing on the gadget in the table provided by the restaurant.

We technically lost the purpose of being together and eating our dinner while enjoying the company of each of us. The Bible says; "...consider diligently what is before you." Because you're with a ruler, or may be with your family or friends; consider the purpose and the reasons why you are there. May it be said; "Good food, great friendship, and a Godly fellowship.- By Ely Roque Sagansay
