Samson Lost All That He Has

“And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us sport. And they called for Samson out of the prison house; and he made them sport: and they set him between the pillars.” (Judges 16:25 King James Version)

The worst experience you may have in a Sunday morning worship service is when you can’t feel the presence of God in the church or in your preaching. If you can’t feel the presence of God in your life, it’s questionable for you. It’s in this story when God left Samson as he dishonor God by not pleasing the Lord who gave him his strength. Samson was brought down to his lowest point. He was humbled by the Lord because of his sin. Samson repented of the sins he committed and was reconciled to God. In the process of time, Samson’s hair began to grow, and he was restored by God. Notice verse 22, “Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven.” Those were the days when Samson began to feel the presence of God again.

In verse “30- And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life.” So, when Samson prayed to God for strength; God granted his prayer and got his strength back. Samson destroyed the whole house full of people. We have redemption, regeneration, and restoration with God, and we can re-claim the victory. Take the advice of Apostle Paul: “But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 58- “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord." (I Corinthians 15: 57- 58 KJV)
