What Makes Christianity Different From Other Religions in Salvation

3- For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4- And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: (I Corinthians 15:3- 4 King James Version)

What is the meaning of the word “gospel”? According to Apostle Paul the word “gospel” means the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ according to the Scriptures. Believing on what Christ did on the cross 2,000 years ago for eternal life is what made the difference to the unbelieving world and other religious groups. “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9- Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8- 9 KJV)

The Christians believe that for anyone who wants to go to heaven; he or she must accept Christ as their Lord and Savior. And to accept Him means to accept His deity or believe in Him as the Son of God and the Savior of the world. You accept what He did on the cross. It may sounds impossible for them to happen as to how it will work, but that’s what the Bible says. And also you have to accept that you are a sinner and repent of your sins. (John 1:12; Acts 16:30- 31; I John 1:7- 10; II Peter 3:9) An atheist or someone who have a religion may find it impossible to just believe in Christ for eternal life in heaven. It made easy for salvation because of the finished work of Christ.

Notice what the Bible says; “8- But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; 9- That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11- For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12- For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13- For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14- How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? ” (Romans 10:8- 13 KJV)
